Skin on Skin
About the Artwork
"Skin on Skin" – the title plays with the tactile presence this image evokes. The pomegranate feels so tangibly close that one imagines feeling the rough texture of its skin beneath one's fingers.
I spent hours immersed in the infinite details of this surface, fascinated by its planetary quality – craters, fissures, and elevations reminiscent of distant worlds. The pomegranate's skin is also part of my signature fragrance, and so a circle closed for me: from scent to form, from observation to devotion.
We often overlook in daily life how extraordinary the ordinary can be. This pomegranate is a reminder to pause – and truly see.
